Orthopaedic Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists work in many different areas of healthcare. Orthopaedic physiotherapy practice deals with musculoskeletal issues of the body such as pain, movement problems, weakness, and recovery from injury. Areas commonly treated include the spine, knees, shoulders and hips. Physiotherapists are experts in the assessment and treatment of movement problems and pain.

Sports Injury

Injuries are common when participating in sports. They can range from traumatic injuries from sudden impact, to overuse injuries from repetitive strain. Physiotherapists commonly work with athletes and sports participants of all ages and ability to assist in faster recovery and return to sports, and for the prevention of re-injury. Other considerations for sports-injury recovery include a graded return to training.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy, also known as mobilization or manipulative therapy, is a form of hands-on treatment where a physiotherapist carefully moves the tissues and joints of the body to restore movement and relieve pain. Research indicates that manual therapy can be beneficial for recovery from many musculoskeletal issues and injuries, including damage to the nervous system such as a pinched nerve.

What our clients are saying

I've been dealing with David Evans for a number of years now and he has been a tremendous help to me.

He's thorough, professional and very knowledgeable. I've always had a great experience with David.

I highly recommend him to anyone who is seeking treatment.

Because I had great success with David Evans with previous sports injuries, I waited a bit for him to be available to help me

recover from full hip replacement surgery. He listened attentively, gave great advice, challenged me and had an uncanny ability to solve unexpected problems.  He has an instinctive ability to heal, a deep intelligence in understanding the mechanics of the body,

a compassionate nature that calms anxiety and great good humour. I cannot recommend him enough.

I have been so impressed and grateful for the care I have received from my Physio David Evans.

After complications I had from a knee surgery I was looking for an expert in Sport Rehab to get me back on track

and David has done just that. He has gone above and beyond providing me with a detailed plan to support my rehab at home

and takes the time to make sure I am confident in knowing how to do all home exercises properly.

He has made very helpful suggestions for managing the pain I was experiencing

and has helped me to get the range of motion back in my knee.

I would recommend David's expertise to anyone seeking Physiotherapy/ Sport Injury Rehab.
